Weitzman Awards

The Weitzman School Awards celebrate the achievements of visionary Weitzman students, faculty, and alumni, as well as leaders in architecture and planning outside of our community—while building support for the next generation.  The Awards provide an opportunity for our community to leverage its long and productive history of collaborating across all disciplines—art and design, planning, and preservation—to take on the world’s most significant challenges while reshaping the professions we lead and the communities in which we work. 

The 2022 Weitzman School Awards will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 6pm at The Shed in New York City. The Shed was designed by this year’s Kanter Tritsch Medalist, Diller Scofidio + Renfro.

We know that spaces matter, and the Weitzman School is excited to celebrate our students and design leaders in person while following all safety guidelines to protect our attendees. This event will be an evening of celebrating collaboration, innovation, and disruption. In addition to presentations by our Prize winners and Medalists, Liz Magill, the newly inaugurated president of the University of Pennsylvania, will in attendance.

All event proceeds will support student scholarships in architecture and city and regional planning.
