Weitzman’s strategic goals grow out of more than 150 years of leadership in design education and are aligned with the University’s In Principle and Practice strategic framework. These pathways are interconnected and mutually reinforcing, representing a unified and comprehensive approach to the built and natural worlds.

Realizing these ambitions depends on the strength of the School’s people and networks. The staff bring expertise and dedication to supporting operations, programs, and the student experience. The Penn Weitzman Alumni Association (PWAA) cultivates lifelong connections among graduates while advancing the School’s mission through events, mentorship, and outreach. The Dean’s Council, composed of distinguished alumni and friends, offers strategic guidance and advocacy to extend Weitzman’s impact. Meanwhile, the Board of Advisors provides high-level counsel and support, helping to shape the School’s future direction and priorities. Together, these groups embody and advance the School’s goals, forming the foundation of a vibrant and forward-thinking community.
