Join for a PennDesign Alumni gathering at the Hong Kong KPF offices with Dean and Paley Professor Fritz Steiner (MRP’77, MA’86, PhD’86) and Winka Dubbeldam, Miller Professor and Chair of Architecture, both will present an update on all that is taking place at the School, and also discuss our current initiatives in Asia. 
 
Frederick “Fritz” Steiner is Dean and Paley Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. Dean Steiner has a long and distinguished track record as a scholar, teacher and administrator. Most recently, he served for 15 years as dean of the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds two master’s degrees and a doctoral degree, in city and regional planning, from PennDesign, and he has also been a research scholar at the Penn Institute for Urban Research since 2013. Penn President Amy Gutmann announced his appointment on February 25, 2016.
 
Winka Dubbeldam is a seasoned academic and design leader, serving as Chair and Miller Professor of Architecture at PennDesign, where she has gathered an international network of innovative research and design professionals. Previously, Professor Dubbeldam oversaw the Post-Professional Degree program for 10 years (2003-2013), providing students with innovative design skills, cutting-edge theoretical and technological knowledge, and the analytic, interpretive, and writing skills necessary for a productive and innovative career in the field of architecture. She also taught advanced architectural design studios at Columbia University and Harvard University, among other prestigious institutions. Born in the Netherlands, Dubbeldam has an MArch from the Institute of Higher Professional Architectural Education, Rotterdam (1990), and a MSAAD from Columbia University (1992).
